The Work

I helped form The Work in 2001. You might describe us as a funky, horn-driven, rock-n-soul band.  Our  influences as The Work are wide-ranging,  from Curtis Mayfield to Miles Davis, with a Grateful Dead edge thrown in for good measure.  The result is an upbeat, uplifting sound that keeps the people dancing and smiling, and wondering what might come next!

The Work is comprised of (left to right):

  • Matt Jennings on keyboards;
  • Jason Owens on drums;
  • Mitch Towles on guitar;
  • Craig Sorrells on trumpet;
  • Myself on guitar; and,
  • Mark Dye on bass; and,
  • Jeff Holland on percussion.
